Nowadays, more and more people rush to backup their system beforehand with backup software like EASEUS Todo Backup preparing for some incident system crash or failure, and it is truly much helpful and saves more time for us. Certainly, less space to store the image file would also be better; and the image file can be compressed to save more space. EASEUS Todo Backup, equipped with Compress Image File function, enables you to make the image file smaller to save more space.
It offers you three levels to compress the image file: Normal, High and Maximum. By default, there is no compression for backups. You can choose the compression level for a backup archive:
Case 1: Set compression level previously before backup operation:
1. Launch EASEUS Todo Backup from Start Menu.
2. Click "Tool" > "Option", or just click "Option" on toolbar.
3. Choose compression level you want (you may also choose to compress or not) .
Case2: Set the compression level manually during the backup operation.
1. Run EASEUS Todo Backup.
2. To launch backup operation, please click "Backup" in the main window, or select "Operation" -> "Backup" from the menu bar, tool bar or action panel to start "Create Backup Wizard".
3. After completed the prior backup steps, you will get "Choose Backup Options" page.
Here are two options: "Use Default options" and "Set the option manually".
Note:
The optimal data compression level depends on the types of file stored in the archive. For example, even maximum compression will not significantly reduce the archive size if the archive contains essentially compressed files, like .jpg, .pdf, .mp3, etc.
